Why I do what I do
Sarah Marie's artistry is fueled by an immense passion for arts advocacy in education and diversity, equity, & inclusion. Her goal is to promote the arts as a necessary and vital cornerstone of life while nurturing safe, diverse, inclusive, and anti-racist artistic spaces for everyone, giving particular care in uplifting those from historically excluded communities.
Sarah Marie currently serves as Chairwoman and resident Casting Director of Teatro San Diego, a non-profit theatre founded and led by BIPOC artists that creates artistic opportunities for underserved communities.
Outside of her artistic endeavors she is a PreK-12 educator, where she's single-handedly keeping the hand sanitizer industry in business.
